Sick Seed ‎– Helsingin Synagogat [2013]

Basically, this is some nice ol' junk metal abuse, done with great vocals (something SS has always accomplished), and to top it all off, acoustic guitar even at one point. As far as SS goes, this is probably his most experimental release yet, but he doesn't disappoint. welcome to Finnish minimal hate power electronics.  Worth every penny.

Croatian Amor ‎– The World [2013]

Well, welcome to bubblegum industrial. Straight from posh isolation, with its warmness of its synth's and its major difference from the other releases done by this duo. Even my girlfriend likes this so enjoy this europop love because you wont be disappointed. You can still buy this at various distros and posh isolation, over 400 copies were made so dont make the choice of waiting because the copies will be eventually sold.

Alfarmania ‎– Nojjan [2009]

“The main idea of ALFARMANIA project is pain and anger arising from living in unbearable urban poverty oppressed by ghetto weight and drug-induced oblivion. ALFARMANIA music is brimming with insanity, negative emotional charge and filthy technocratic dizziness crafted with low quality tools. ALFARMANIA music reveals claustrophobia syndrome among four walls of an asylum, the hell of chemical paradise and existential terror.” - last.fm

Here is a review of my bathouse tape, enjoy.

Sordid Salt Lake power electronics bowing at the altar of Caligula. From a brief look at the band's Discogs page, it would appear that Bathouse is the only thing that this SLC based duo has released so far, a short cassette Ep with two untitled tracks of sweat-drenched delirium that spew out a low-fi, heavily distorted strain of power electronics that sounds like it was captured on an ancient blood-soaked Tascam machine. I'm not familiar with the other bands that members Tia Martinez and Jon Tabish are involved with, but with Bathouse they summon up some spectacularly filthy electronic chaos that I could definitely hear more of. Everything about this recording is distorted, the entire sound is blown out to hell, the vocals an incomprehensible lustful howl that's buried way down in the oceanic fuzz, the sound shifting from squealing, crushing over-modulated noise fused to punishing delay/feedback abuse, to churning asphalt-mixer distortion, the synth sound massively blown-out, droning and swarming, shattered into controlled bursts of crushing low-end hum, everything lost in the intense murky haze of tape hiss. Even through this bleary haze of low-fi filth, though, the sound of Bathouse is frantic, even scornful, with a similar violent unhinged feel as some of the recent releases from Grunt and Bagman. And through this murky storm of gutter electronics and rabid frothing-at-the-mouth incantations, the duo extol the glories of Roman hedonism, of flesh subjugated in the steam-heat of the public baths and violent lust exercised in the caldarium. Nice n' filthy, and recommended only to fans of the aforementioned perpetrators of nebulous PE and their ilk. Limited to just thirty-five copies - Crucial Blast

Family Smut / Streetmeat Split Review

Here’s a split from two rather unknown projects. Family Smut comes out of Utah with more straight-up harsh noise, while Streetmeat is a lesser-used power electronics project from Robert Newsome of White Gimp Mask and Grusom Dod. Each artist gives a 10 minute track, and it’s surprising how similar both sides are in terms of continuity of sound.
Family Smut throws up a harsh track of looping electronics, almost like a wall in that it remains a fairly rigid listening experience throughout. The quick jitters of the feedback weave in and out, sometimes blowing out so much that the leave little pockets of sound. Family Smut shifts its tone just a little bit about the halfway point; the pitch heightens, the track grows more intense. It’s all somewhat standard from a harsh noise standpoint, but the way the track seems to billow in and out, stuttering, makes it worth a listen.
Streetmeat’s power electronics starts out with rhythmic rumbles and static; the pattern ends in a couple of blown-out bursts. The track continues to flow along, with spoken word vocals that are very difficult to make out because of echo and reverberation. Still, the laid-back vocals belie the strength of the electronics; they churn and coalesce, hitting crescendos of feedback before sinking back into a deep rumble again with the feedback slipping in here and there.
It’s a short but sweet tape from both parties. Lots of standard noise fare throughout the 20 minute run, and for those that like a blend of harsh noise and power electronics, the pairing goes down nicely.

Vanity Productions ‎– I Allerførste Gry [2013]

Honestly i think this is the best release of this project yet. Although the first two were good, a full sound wasn't developed yet. I think they have found their sound. So don't be hesitant to skip this one because its pretty well done.
